Welcome to the Evanton Community Trust web site

The Evanton Community Trust is a charitable body which was set up in 2005 to undertake major local projects designed to develop new and improve or preserve existing community assets for the benefit of the community in and around Evanton in Ross-shire in the Highlands of Scotland.

The Trust is registered in Scotland as a charitable company and its vision is "to see a robust, inclusive and thriving community in Evanton where people are proud to work and live"

The Trust’s first project was to acquire and convert a brown-field site in the centre of the village into a Village Green with landscaping and planting. This is now a focal point for the centre of the village as well as an amenity for the local community.

More recently, the Trust has been looking at ways to restore local footpaths that have fallen into a state of disrepair.

Finally, the Trust has begun exploring ways in which the future of the Kiltearn Old Parish Church, one of the most important historical sites in the area, can be safeguarded.

An underlying principle that informs all the Trust’s work is that of openness and transparency, presenting regular and clear information to its members and the community at large on all aspects of its work and activities, through local media, posters and leaflets as well as via web sites and social media outlets.

Would you like to support the work of the Evanton Community Trust and maybe win a bit of cash too? Then join our 100 Club!

The Trust are currently engaged in two main projects, the restoration of the footpath network around Evanton and a community-based research project into the Kiltearn Church, with other exciting projects in the pipeline.

Here’s how the 100 Club works…

You fill in a membership form and complete a Standing Order mandate for £2 a month (or £24 annually) or you can pay by cheque.

This buys you one membership number (which we will allocate), and then you are entered into the monthly draw.  You can subscribe to more than one number to increase your chances of winning, with each additional number costing £2 per month. All participants must be over 16.

The draw will take place monthly.

If you win, a cheque will be posted to your home address and the name of the winner published on the Evanton Community Trust Facebook page and on the web site.

The prize money will be 50% of the membership fee taken that month. The remaining 50% goes to the Trust towards its projects or will help fund general running costs including community consultation events

To join, fill out the form below - if you wish to pay by standing order please download the SO form here and return it to any member of the board.
